Greetings to you! We have a new CD release now available: Akai Ikuo "Language Without Words" CD. I first encountered the music of Akai at the end of the last Green Milk from the Planet Orange N. American tour. They were spending a couple of weeks hanging out with us before heading back to Japan. I walked into my office and heard this amazing trippy, weird, psychedelic music. dead K told me it was his friend Akai, an amazing musician based in Tokyo. We played it non stop after they left to go back home here at BlRR Centraal. Well, we are pleased to release this gem of a CD: Registering on the Richter scale somewhere between Squarepusher (Music Is Rotted One Note) and Terje Rypdal (Odyssey) with little Thromboses of Seefeel, Deodato, Coil and The Orb congealing around the edges, Akai has an expansive sound, but leaves a lot of space, which keeps the cool cool....
We are taking pre orders for albums by Ariel Kalma, Nurse With Wound, The Silverman, Volcano the Bear.
Releases following that will be new albums by Anakrid (CD/LP), Uw Hypotheekadvies (CD), Stimulus (CD), The Long Dead Sevens (CD + bonus CD), Eyeless In Gaza (2CD plus bonus CD), Andrew Liles/Daniel Menche (CD), Andrew Liles (lim. LP), Legendary Pink Dots (DLP), Edward Ka-Spel (DLP), Anakrid (lim. LP), Aidan Baker (CD/LP), Songs of Norway (CD), Textile Orchestra (CD), Christus & the Cosmonaughts (LP, 12" pix disk), Nurse With Wound (CD, LP, 12" pix disk), Expo 70 (CD), Nick Grey (CD), three CDs with Jazzfinger and 5 CDs with Brunnen, plus a reissue of an early album with MB and a split album with Volcano the Bear and La STPO……..
We have added several new titles to our mail-order catalog. Of note is the new Troum on Equation Records available on either colored vinyl or picture disks, a great compilation on Urck Records "Post-Asiatic Lost War Dream Music", Ride For Revenge "King of Snakes" which I just recently discovered thanks to Tyrsson from Waldteufel. The album reminds me of a Black Metal version of "Alomoni 1985" by Karuna Khyal - just so recommended. Two new deluxe hard linen bound LPs by Raymond Dijktra plus albums with Aldebaran, Anakrid, Coffins, Coffins/Otesanek, Corrupted, Cult Of Daath, Death In June, Deathspell Omega, Drastus, Il Sangue, Inanna, Mortuus, Pulse Emitter, Raymond Dijkstra, Ride For Revenge, Tecumseh, Thralldom, Whitehorse.

Black Series - 19. Ed. of 300 copies. Poppy red is the colour of Akai’s cracked fusion. Their downtempo psychtronica rises and ripples like exhaust from a resin caked hookah. Registering on the Richter scale somewhere between Squarepusher (Music Is Rotted One Note) and Terje Rypdal (Odyssey) with little Thromboses of Seefeel, Deodato, Coil and The Orb congealing around the edges, Akai has an expansive sound, but leaves a lot of space, which keeps the cool cool. Exotic percussions cut the strangely metered cocaine of jazz rhythms and glitchy sequences with soothing, tropical diazapams that transform the frenetic beats into hallucinations of quiet grandeur. The gamelan/steel drum-like din offers pleasing, almost Lou Harrison moments that tweak into metamorphs of the third stream. This bitches brew is spiked throughout with tinctures of guitar psychedelia and drams of electronic chirps and whirs. And a subtly stumbling, matte finish bassline bubbles just beneath the meniscus. A long, strange trip into a morphine drip.

Edition of 100 numbered and signed copies. Pos Load Nihilsurrealisme answers Joyfear with a worst case scenario detonation. The absurdism of its dada-esque title only vaguely hints at the art-cum-noise inside. It’s the opposite extreme from... (More Info. Here)

This well-matched split album featuring Japan's COFFINS and Philadelphia's OTESANEK pairs two acts that go about achieving utter sonic repulsion in slightly different yet equally twisted ways. The sickening death-doom of COFFINS lurches like an... (More Info. Here)
Whereas 2006 has shown critics stuck on Japan's Boris' fine trick of gluing glam and shoegaze to lugubrious drone on the almost-bubblegum breakout Pink, fellow countrymen Corrupted keep creeping toward the blackest of tarpits at full bore. Corrupted... (More Info. Here)
CULT OF DAATH is like an infected sore eating away at the roof of your mouth that you cannot stop tonguing. This US band is a vile concoction of Death Metal with a sparse amount of fetid Black Metal seasoning spread liberally in the mixture. The... (More Info. Here)

"lack metal is usually associated with bands like Venom and Deicide -- speedy tempos clashing with growled vocals. On the 2005 offering from France's Deathspell Omega, Kenose, the group follows this formula closely. But there are a few added... (More Info. Here)

This is an EP from Drastus, a French one-man band playing black/ambient metal. The sound on this record is somewhat distant and muffled, sort of your typical "raw black metal" production. That said, it certainly fits the music, and the... (More Info. Here)

Highly Recommened! Kind of like a Black Metal version of Karuna Khyal. Some names are evocative enough to say more about music than a pithy writer like myself ever could. Ride For Revenge; three short words that conjure images as dramatic as a... (More Info. Here)
